Cybersecurity Foundations

Students who complete the Cybersecurity Foundations Microcredential have demonstrated the required skills for core security functions as well as explored the latest commercial-grade hacking tools, techniques, and methodologies used by information security professionals to test the security posture of an organization. Completion of this Microcredential also earn the CompTIA Security+ Certification and are prepared for the Certified Ethical Hacking certification if desired. Transferable skills include: complex problem solving, originality of ideas, and interdisciplinary thinking. To earn this Microcredential, students must successfully complete (C- or higher) the following courses: CIT 168 Information Technology Tools & Techniques for Organizations (waived for individuals with IT experience) CIT 258: Intro to Global Cybersecurity CIT 358: Information Technology Assurance & Security (prerequisite: CIT 168)
